Canyon Fire Update
As of Friday morning, the Canyon Fire burning in Ventura and Los Angeles counties has grown to nearly 5,000 acres and remains 0% contained. The fire quickly spread from about 50 acres early Thursday afternoon.
Evacuation Orders
Important Note: Due to the very dynamic situation of the Canyon Fire, evacuations remain in place. Immediate threat to life. Evacuation orders are lawful and should be taken seriously. About 4,200 people have been forced to evacuate as a result of this fire.

The fire is currently 0% contained and continues to grow rapidly. Firefighters in the area are making good progress but the situation remains challenging due to the speed at which the fire is spreading. It is essential for all residents in the affected areas to follow the instructions of emergency officials closely.
