The Chappell Roan formation was first described by Arthur Suckard in 1955 as a distinct feature on the East Coast of North America. Suckard's work on this formation was later supported by others.Geology
The Chappell Roan formation is composed primarily of sandstone, shale, and limestone. The sandstone formations are part of the Housatonic Formation.Safety Recordings
