Donuts Recalled
The FDA has issued a recall of certain peanut butter and chocolate frosting donuts produced by Just Born Inc. due to potential contamination with the Salmonella bacteria.
What is the issue?
The FDA has found that some of these donuts may have been contaminated with the Salmonella bacteria. This can cause serious food poisoning and even death.
Symptoms
- Severe diarrhea and vomiting, which may lead to dehydration.
- Coldness of the skin, which can lead to hypothermia and shock.
- High fever, abdominal pain, and bloody stools.
How to stay safe
To prevent food poisoning, always wash your hands before and after handling donuts. Never eat raw or undercooked donuts, as they are more likely to be contaminated with the bacteria.
What to do if you get food poisoning
If you experience any of the symptoms above, immediately stop eating and drink plenty of water. If your symptoms worsen or you have severe vomiting, seek medical attention right away.
