Marcus Osmond Smart was born on March 6, 1994. He is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Early Life and High School Career

Smart played high school basketball at Edmond Memorial High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was a highly recruited player and eventually committed to play college basketball for the Kansas State University Wildcats.

College Career

At Kansas State, Smart played three seasons of college basketball. He was a key player on the team and earned several awards and honors.

• First-Team All-BIG XII (2012, 2013)

The Boston Celtics selected Smart with the sixth overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He has played for several teams including the Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.
