Randall William Rhoads (December 6, 1956 – March 19, 1982) was an American guitarist. He was the co-founder and original guitarist of the heavy metal band.

Life and Death

On this day in 1982 Randy Rhoads died after his plane hit the tour bus where Ozzy Osbourne was sleeping. The tragic accident marked the end of a talented musician's life.

Legacy

One of the greatest guitarists ever, Randy Rhoads gave us some of heavy metal's most recognizable guitar riffs and influenced generations of guitar gods. His music continues to inspire new artists and fans alike.
